Time for a Drink!

Giraffe at Sunset
At Zulu Nyala Game Reserve, witnessing a giraffe silhouetted against the setting sun is a breathtaking experience. The giraffe's towering form stands gracefully amidst the golden hues of the African sky, creating a serene and majestic scene. Mother Cheetah
Bathed in warm, golden light, a cheetah sits poised and alert in the open grassland, its slender frame and distinctive black spots perfectly blending with the dry savanna. With its gaze fixed on the horizon, it radiates both elegance and readiness—Africa’s fastest predator surveying its next move. This moment captures the calm before the burst of speed. May 2025.

Our friend the Zebra
The Plains Zebra stands alert, its black-and-white stripes vivid against the golden grass, eyes fixed directly on me with quiet curiosity. Its ears twitch and nostrils flare slightly, sensing but not fearing. For a moment, it feels like a shared stillness between two very different worlds. May 2025

Dynamic Trio
Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve in South Africa is home for this trio of elephants. These are African bush elephants and are the largest land animal on Earth, recognized by its large ears shaped like the African continent and its long, curved tusks. It plays a crucial role in the ecosystem by shaping landscapes, digging for water, and dispersing seeds through its dung. May 2025.

El Capitan from Merced River View
Standing across the Merced River, the view of El Capitan is nothing short of majestic. The river’s gently rippling surface acts like a natural mirror, reflecting the immense granite face of El Capitan with startling clarity. The sheer wall, with its rugged textures and weathered crevices, rises boldly against the sky, exuding a timeless strength. Yosemite Feb 2025.

Powell and California Cable Car View
The view down California Street at Powell captures one of San Francisco’s most iconic scenes, with a cable car climbing the steep hill against a backdrop of the Bay and the Bay Bridge. The towering buildings frame the view perfectly, while the tracks guide your eye straight toward the sparkling water. It’s a quintessential moment that blends the city’s historic charm with its dramatic landscape. April 2025.

Kuau Cove
Kuau Cove, which is commonly also called Mama's Fish House Beach since most visitors experience this beach as a photo op prior to dining at Mama's Fish House, which sits just back from this beach.

Reflecting on El Capitan
El Capitan is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end. El Capitan is made of hard granite, allowing it to resist the pressures of glaciers and erosion, giving it its typical pattern! Yosemite Feb 2025.

Oregon Multnomah Falls
Off I-84 outside of Portland along the Colombia River Multonamah Falls is Oregon’s tallest waterfall, at 620 feet tall. It is very likely you have heard of or at least seen a picture of these falls. The iconic bridge sits over the tier in the falls, making the waterfall look straight out of a fantasy.

Sea Turtle Journey at Ho'okipa Beach
Ho'okipa Beach Park in Paia, Maui, Hawaii is a popular spot to see Hawaiian green sea turtles (Honu). Its fun to trace the turtles journey of just out of the water and joining friends on the beach.

West Maui Mountains

Oregon Bridal Veil Falls
Of all the waterfall hikes near Portland, Bridal Veil Falls offers some of the biggest rewards for the least amount of hiking. If you’re trying to see as much as possible in the Columbia Gorge but still want to have a little time in the woods, this one is a perfect choice.

Hamilton Branch is a tributary that provides cold water to Lake Almanor. It is fed from the North Fork Feather River.

As you leave the Lake Almanor Country Club and make your way on the backroads along Westwood, you find this picturesque spot.

Beautiful vineyards everywhere, this was taken off Highway 29 in the Stags Leap District.

Maldives beach
Hideaway Beach Resort is located in the Maldives. There is a path/trail that circles the island and at points you either come across a restaurant or one of the beaches.
